(Because English is not my mother tongue. So when you read the article you may find something wrong about the language. Hope for your understanding)

Where is Cao Bang located?

Cao Bang is a province located in the Northeast region of Vietnam. Cao Bang province is famous for the tourist destination Ban Gioc Waterfall – The waterfall is located on the border with China, and is considered one of the four largest waterfalls on the border in the world. Cao Bang is home to the Tay, Nung, Mong, Dao, Kinh, San Chay, Lo Lo and many other ethnic groups.

Traveling in Cao Bang, people often go to the whole palace of Sapa – Ha Giang – Cao Bang to complete the journey to conquer the North of Vietnam.

Experience in Cao Bang 4 Days 3 Nights

Day 1: Hanoi – Cao Bang City (280km)

To Hanoi, you rent a motorbike and then follow Google Maps straight to Cao Bang City. The road on this day is relatively easy, not too zigzag and many bends. If you start in the morning, around 3 pm you will have reached Cao Bang City. May be slower depending on your handlebars. Coming to Cao Bang city, you can sleep at Cao Bang homestay. Book a room here.

Day 2: Explore Pac Bo Cave, Lenin Stream – Tra Linh – Khuoi Ky Stone Village

From Cao Bang city, you go about 50km more to reach the ruins of Pac Bo cave and Lenin stream.

Pac Bo Cave is a historical relic of Vietnam’s revolution. The cave is located in Truong Ha commune, Ha Quang district. This place is also the starting point of Km0 of the Ho Chi Minh road. Pac Bo Cave is the place of revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh during the years of fighting against foreign invaders. Although the cave is small, it contains many meanings.

Near Pac Bo cave is Lenin stream. The Lenin stream is associated with the name of the Russian revolutionary V. Lenin and the nearby Mount Marx. This is a cool and beautiful stream.

Visiting Pac Bo cave and Lenin stream can take you about half a day. After finishing, you return to Cao Bang city to have lunch.

In this day, you continue to move from Cao Bang to Tra Linh. Tra Linh is most prominent with the scenery of the mountain punctured by Nui Thung mountain – Angel eye mountain. The special thing about this mountain is that it is punctured in the middle of the mountain, so it is called the puncture mountain. Coming here, you will admire the herds of horses grazing, and listen to the murmuring waterfall right next to it. If you come here in the rainy months (May or June), you will admire a beautiful scene. That is the image of the mountain valley lying on the sea, looking very poetic.

At Ban Gioc waterfall, remember to check in milestone 836 (2) dividing the boundary between the mainland between Vietnam and China at the waterfall. Check in this milestone.
