Ninh Binh travel experience 2 days 1 night
Day 1: Hanoi – Ninh Binh
95km from Hanoi, you move from early morning to Ninh Binh in the morning. Let’s start exploring Ninh Binh.
Trang An Ninh Binh
Fresh morning, you move to Trang An to buy a ticket to the resort. Tickets cost 200,000 VND, plus the boat ride costs 150,000 VND. Thus, the ticket to visit Trang An package is 350,000 VND. There are 3 routes to choose from:
– Route 1 – Trinh Temple – Tran Temple – Phu Khong – with 9 caves.
– Route 2 – Cao Son Holy Temple – Vu Lam Palace – Kong Film Studio
– Route 3 – Dom Cave – Suoi Tien Temple – Kong Film Studio
I chose route 1 to go because I like to explore caves.
After passing the ticket checkpoint, we started sailing into Trang An tourist area. The person who carried me was a ferry driver, with a gentle face, a charming smile and very enthusiastic. We began to move through many small mountains, the boat continued to glide on the water, passing through the small mountains.
The first cave is called the dark cave with a length of 320m. The boat glided on the water, we entered the mysterious cave. True to the dark cave, the atmosphere seems gloomy, all sinks into darkness as you go deeper inside.
320m is too much for a boat. Going inside, I was both cold and scared because of the dark. Passing the cave entrance, we entered a new sky, which is the scene of “Ha Long on land”. Stunningly beautiful.
The end of the dark cave is the light cave, the end of the light cave is the winemaking cave. In this cave, people decorate many beautiful wine pots.
Our boat docked to Tran Co temple, at this place, I saw beautiful phoenix birds, very small and delicately carved. Coming to this place, you will imagine that you are lost in a prehistoric, magical, and strange scene.
Continuing the journey is Ba Giot cave, Sinh cave, Si cave, Seo cave, Son Duong cave and many other caves. There was a cave in there that made an impression on me. The boatman said that in the past, this place was the private meeting place of the king. Non Nuoc is charming, sharp and beautiful to the point of stupor.
Route 1 is extremely interesting when constantly appearing caves with special terrain.
4 hours passed, and the boat completed route 1. It was a very interesting tour, with a lot to learn.
Bich Dong Pagoda
Bich Dong Pagoda is located in the scenic block of Trang An Ninh Binh. There is no need to pay a ticket to the temple, the way to the temple is dark and blind. There are many bats inside, so pay attention. Behind Bich Dong Pagoda, you can see the whole view of Ninh Binh at a certain angle. In front of the temple is a very beautiful lotus pond.
Tam Coc
Tam Coc is also known by another name as Ha Long Bay on land. There are many routes to choose from such as:
– Van Lam Wharf – Ngo Dong River – Tam Coc
– Thuy Dong
– Thach Bich – Thung Nhang
You can choose to go to Bich Dong Pagoda, then go underwater in Tam Coc. And if you’ve been to these two places, don’t miss the Tien and Mua Caves if you still have time on that day.
Day 2: Hoa Lu Ancient Capital – Tuyet Tinh Coc – Bai Dinh Pagoda – Hanoi
On the second day, you can visit 2 places: Hoa Lu ancient capital and Bai Dinh pagoda before returning to Hanoi. These are two places not to be missed in Ninh Binh.
Hoa Lu ancient capital
Hoa Lu ancient capital is extremely large, you have to buy tickets to go in. Hoa Lu ancient capital is a complex with an area of 13.87km2, related to the cause of three dynasties: Dinh, Tien Le, and Ly. Inside worshiped many kings and lords of that time. The architectural cluster including temples, communal houses, ancient pagodas, mausoleums, steles, palaces, and shrines makes visitors overwhelmed.
Tuyet Tinh Coc
Tuyet Tinh Coc Ninh Binh is located near Hoa Lu ancient capital, Tuyet Tinh Coc is famous for a lake with clear and beautiful water. Tuyet Tinh Coc is suitable for those who love romantic, gentle and poetic scenes.
Bai Dinh Pagoda
This is the largest Buddhist work in Vietnam, with special architecture and is considered as a large temple complex with many Asian records such as the temple with the largest gilded bronze Buddha in Asia, the temple with the Arhat corridor. Asia’s longest, has the largest bronze Maitreya statue in Southeast Asia.
The pagoda is extremely large, so if you want to visit, you have to go early, and usually people spend the whole day to visit Bai Dinh pagoda.
The tower is the most important place to check-in. At dusk, the tower is beautifully lit. Seen from afar, Bai Dinh pagoda at night is shimmering and fanciful.
Bai Dinh Pagoda is the last place you can visit and go a lot before returning to Hanoi. Actually, the scenery in Ninh Binh is quite wide, so spending 2 days 1 night traveling is also considered as riding a horse to see flowers. But if your schedule is limited, then that’s enough.
Wish you have an enjoyable trip!
